It is always a great to hear happy customers sing the accolades of their builders, raising their children and creating wonderful family memories in their family home. There is no better compliment when Queensland families love their family home so much, that 24 years after their initial build, they decide to rebuild with the same builder.

This was the case with Lorraine and Peter from Bridgeman Downs.

For Lorraine and Peter, their relationship with Plantation Homes began in 1996 when they built their two-storey home back in 1996.

A spacious leisure room area with modern, bold furniture, accessorised with gold accents and greenery touches.
Lorraine and Peter, happy with their 1996 Plantation Homes build, are rebuilding with the same builder 24 years later.

According to Lorraine, the design has been a perfect family home for the last 24 years.

“Our family consisted of five, and at the time, it suited perfectly. It is a spacious and a well-designed home. The layout with its spiral staircase to the generous upstairs was simply stunning. We also added a spacious deck leading out from the main bedroom which has been really well used.”

“The building process then was also seamless, and we have never had any issues.”

Fast forward 24 years, and now Empty Nesters, Lorraine and Peter have seen fit to downsize from their spacious double storey dwelling and opt for a home from the Q Collection.

They have handpicked the Cascade 28 to be built in Carseldine, which is only one suburb away from their present location. “It is a perfect design for open plan living on one level and the perfect home to downsize for us,” Lorraine says.

“We are still in the early stages of our building project and have been very well looked after by Emma Schmith, our New Home Consultant based at Narangba.

The home is due for completion in mid-2021 and we wish Lorraine and Peter all the best with their second build with Plantation Homes!
