Energy efficient living

Smarter choices. Greater comfort. Lower running costs.

Building a new home is an opportunity to create a space that's not only beautiful, but designed to perform better every day.

Every Plantation home is designed to achieve a minimum 7-star energy rating – no matter your lot orientation - helping you enjoy greater comfort, improved energy efficiency and lower running costs for years to come.

7-Star Performance, Regardless of Orientation

With some builders, minimum 7-star requirements for every lot orientation aren't always included in the advertised price.

With us, a minimum 7-star energy rating is included across all lot orientations, base façade, inclusions, and is built into our advertised prices. Simply add solar panels and your home can achieve net zero status, giving you greater confidence when selecting both your home and block.

The result is greater flexibility when choosing a block of land and fewer compromises during the planning process, knowing your home has been designed to achieve a minimum 7-star energy rating from the outset.

If you choose to customise your home, including the floorplan, façade or colour selections, additional adjustments may be required to maintain the same performance standard.

What does a 7-star energy rating mean?

A 7-star home is designed to maintain a more comfortable indoor temperature throughout the year while reducing the energy required for heating and cooling.

Benefits include:

• Improved year-round comfort

• Lower energy consumption

• Reduced heating and cooling costs

• Better environmental performance

• Future-focused home design

Why Settle?

You can have 7-star and net zero!

We believe in offering more than just energy efficiency. Why settle for a 7-star home when you can enjoy the benefits of a net zero home designed for comfort, sustainability, and savings?

What is a net zero home?

A net zero home is designed to use energy efficiently and generate renewable energy, typically through solar panels, so that over the course of a year it produces as much energy as it consumes.

The result is lower energy bills, reduced environmental impact and greater independence from rising energy costs.

All of our solar-powered, all-electric net zero homes have achieved a NatHERS Whole of Home rating of 100+, meaning they generate more energy than they use based on the energy demands of a typical household.

The financial and environmental advantage

A net zero home doesn't just reduce energy use. It has the potential to generate as much energy as it consumes, helping homeowners take greater control of household expenses while reducing their environmental footprint.

By reducing reliance on the grid, homeowners may benefit from:
